HISTORY: Tsige has been raised by her aunt, Askale, since her parents passed away. She lives with her aunt and cousins, helping with the laundry washing business. They have been supported by Shalom since 2008. Tsige lives at Shalom part-time, on weekends and during the summer.

$180 a month is required to provide for Tsige's basic needs, including food, clothing, school, medical and housing.
