HISTORY: Both of Samrawit's parents are living and both are blind. She lives with her parents during the week and after school helps guide them to new locations to beg. She lives at Shalom part-time, because it is too difficult for her parents to safely care for her on the weekends, and when school is out during the summer. Shalom also helps provide support (teff, oil, etc) to the parents and siblings.

$180 a month is required to provide for Samrawit's basic needs, including food, school, medical and housing.
