HISTORY: Bette is a single orphan. Her mother passed away when she was five. It was unsafe to life with her father, so in 2008 she came to live at Shalom. Bette has seen and experienced more tragedy than any child should endure, 

yet her faith and outlook on life are exceptionally positive.

$180 a month is required to provide for Bette's basic needs, including food, school, medical and housing.
