YEAR OF BIRTH: 2001
ABOUT: Bette loves school. She also enjoys helping at home with whatever needs to be done.
SIBLINGS: Amanuel, Abraham and Nardos
HISTORY: Bette's mother passed away from cancer and her father is unable to care for her, due to substance abuse. At six years old, she and her older brother, Amanuel, were sent to live with their aunt. She treated them as slaves and did not allow them to attend school. As a six-year-old, Bette stayed home to be the sole caregiver for her younger cousins. Amanuel shined shoes and begged to help provide for himself and Bette. Their older brother, Dawit, found them and brought them back to Shalom, where he was being helped. They have lived there since 2011. One year later, her younger siblings, Abraham and Nardos, came to Shalom.
$180 a month is required to provide for Bette's basic needs, including food, school, medical and housing.
For $30 a month, you can be God's love to Bette by enabling Shalom to meet her physical, mental and spiritual needs. If you are able to/would like to cover more than a sixth of her monthly monetary needs ($60, $90, $120 or $150/month), you are more than welcome to do so!
BETTE IS FULLY SPONSORED AT THIS TIME!!!
