SHALOM CHILD SPONSORSHIP

Shalom is a children's home located in Addis Abba, Ethiopia. Founded by Tenagne, Shalom provides for the financial needs of many, as well as housing, food, school, medical requirements and more. In 2014, the Brittons moved their family to Ethiopia to help Tenagne love and provide for these precious children, who have endured unimaginable suffering. The Britton's felt God calling them to GO to Ethiopia, to physically help these children in their time of greatest distress and to show them the love of our heavenly Father. While they are being the literal hands of Christ, we are ALL called to loved others.

"This is how we know what love is: Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need, but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." (1 John 3:16-18)

In order to meet the needs of the children living at Shalom, as well as the many of people who rely on support from Shalom, an opportunity arises for us ALL to be the hands and feet of Christ. While we cannot all physically go to Ethiopia, we can love these children through prayer, as well as through financial support.

$180 a month is required to provide for each child's basic food, school, medical, housing and other needs. In an effort to involve as many as possible, we are asking you to sponsor a child for $30 each month (knowing that there will also be up to five other sponsors to help cover the remaining $150). Thanks to our relationship with Tenagne and the Brittons, we are able to send the majority of that money directly to the child, with only $3 of the $30 going to help with administrative costs.

If you are unable to make a monthly commitment but still desire to be a financial part of these children's stories, you can make a one-time (or multiple time) gift here
